Product Updates January 2026
A summary of the Aula Product Updates in January, 2026. Read to check how your spaces are more consistently displayed in the list, how you can open a ticket with Support directly from the Aula platform, and more.

New Year's resolutions, anyone? 🙋♀️ As soon as the time off was over, we stuck to ours and worked hard in January, mainly on improvements to the new design: how your spaces are displayed in the list, more consistency in user alerts across spaces, and how you can open a ticket with Support directly from the Aula platform (did you know you can do that?) 😉 All these enhancements started with you, who took the time to share your feedback, and allow us to make a better Aula!
Check the details of these updates and fixes below!
✅ Completed Work
⭐ More Room for Starred Spaces & Space Name Visibility
Goal: Make the left navigation menu accommodate more starred spaces, and make it easier for users to know which space they are in.
Update: The list of spaces occupy the entire container rather than leaving a blank space at the bottom. This way, educators and students can see more of their starred spaces at once. On the Space Navigation page, the space name remains visible in the navigation bar while scrolling. Alignment was also improved to accommodate the names of the spaces so nothing gets truncated, even in smaller screens.
🐞 Bug Fixes
⭕ Improvements to the Inspera Experience on Mobile
Problem: Have Inspera links open seamlessly in mobile devices.
✔️ Solution: When an educator or a student clicks on an Inspera test in the mobile app, it now sends them to a supported external browser rather than opening it inside the Aula app. Users don’t have to perform any action besides keeping their Aula apps updated to the latest version. Friendly reminder: your institution may have to acquire an Inspera license to be able to use it in Aula.
🪧 Browser Tab Title
Problem: Browser tab title was incorrect (not updating) on some of the pages within the new Aula design.
✔️ Solution: The titles now update for every single page. This means that you’ll read “Assignments” in the browser tab when you access Assignments, “Groups” when you access Groups, and so on. No more confusion!
👐 More Clarity for Students with No Spaces
Problem: Students that had an Aula account but still weren’t enrolled in any spaces would just see a spinning wheel when they tried to access their spaces, leading them to think there was some problem with the platform.
✔️ Solution: A “No Spaces” screen is displayed so students know that they still haven’t been enrolled in any spaces.
👔 Staff Access Alert not Displaying Consistently
Problem: Staff Access Alert banner was displaying inconsistently across individual posts, scheduled posts, and pinned posts screens.
✔️ Solution: The alerts have been unified.
⭐ Star/Unstar Action from Drawer Is Not Reflected in Recently Viewed Section
Problem: The Recently Viewed section would still show a space as starred when it had been unstarred, and vice-versa.
✔️ Solution: We’ve improved the consistency so now a starred space shows as starred everywhere, as well as an unstarred one.
⬇️ Scrolling in Progress Overview
Problem: Educators and students could not scroll down in the Progress Overview Screen.
✔️ Solution: Scrolling was fixed and users can now view the whole content in the Progress Overview screen by scrolling down.
🩹 Support Request
Problem: The modal to open a support ticket without leaving Aula would not open after page refresh.
✔️ Solution: Educators and students can open a ticket with the Support team directly from the Aula wep app even after refreshing the page.
